Bead Atlas Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 2, 2026
Last Updated: August 2, 2026

Welcome to Bead Atlas (Chinese name: 拼豆图鉴, the “App”). The App is provided by Han Yu Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App and the choices available to you.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please stop using the App. You decide whether to grant optional permissions such as camera, photo library, and advertising tracking. Refusing a permission does not affect core editing features unrelated to that permission.

1. Scope and Local-First Design

This Policy covers bead-pattern creation, photo-to-pattern conversion, canvas editing, built-in templates, color and quantity statistics, local project management, A4 image export, printing or sharing, appearance and language settings, and advertising.

The current App is local-first and does not require an account. Projects and preferences remain on your device. The App does not upload imported photos, canvas data, or project files to our business servers.

2. Information Processed

  1. Local projects and preferences. To save and restore your work, the App stores project titles, canvas dimensions, pixel or bead colors, selected palettes, creation and update times, and preferences such as language, theme, and text size on your device.
  2. Photos and camera content. When you choose a photo or take a picture to create a pattern, the App requests the relevant permission and processes only the selected image on your device for resizing, color matching, and pattern generation. We do not actively read unselected photos or upload the image to our servers. The operating system, image picker, or App may create temporary cache files required for processing.
  3. Export and sharing. When you export, download, print, or share a pattern, the App generates an image on your device and sends it to the system file, printing, or sharing service at your direction. A receiving app or platform processes the file under its own terms and privacy policy.
  4. Device, network, and advertising data. When splash advertising is enabled on mobile, the ThinkUp mediation SDK and the ad networks it calls may process IP address, device model, OS and App version, language, time zone, network type, advertising identifiers such as IDFA or Android Advertising ID when permitted, approximate region, ad requests, impressions, clicks, crash data, and diagnostic logs. This supports ad delivery, frequency capping, attribution, fraud prevention, and analytics. We do not provide your photos or project content to advertising providers.
  5. Permissions. The App may use internet, network-state, camera, photo-library, and advertising-tracking permissions. On iOS, IDFA is used only if you authorize tracking. If tracking is denied, contextual or non-personalized ads may still appear. The App does not actively request precise-location permission.

3. Purposes

  1. Create, edit, save, retrieve, and export bead patterns on your device.
  2. Convert a photo you select into a color-matched pattern.
  3. Remember language, theme, text size, and other local preferences.
  4. Deliver and measure ads, manage frequency, and identify invalid traffic or security risks.
  5. Troubleshoot errors, maintain compatibility, and improve the App.
  6. Comply with applicable law and valid regulatory, judicial, or administrative requests.

4. Third-Party SDKs and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information or use local projects to build advertising profiles. The mobile App integrates the ThinkUp advertising mediation SDK. Depending on device, region, inventory, and remote configuration, ThinkUp may call ad networks including Google AdMob, Tencent GDT, and Mintegral. The networks actually enabled may change with App versions or advertising configuration.

These providers process necessary information under their own privacy policies. You can use device settings to limit ad tracking, reset an advertising identifier, or withdraw permissions. We may also disclose information when required by law, necessary to protect life or property, address fraud, or defend lawful rights.

5. Storage, Retention, and Security

Projects and preferences are primarily stored on your device for as long as you choose. You can delete projects in the App or delete local information by clearing App data or uninstalling the App. Uninstalling, clearing data, device failure, or system migration may permanently erase projects, so export your own backup when needed.

Advertising providers may store information on servers in different countries or regions and retain it under their policies and applicable law. We take reasonable steps to limit permissions and data scope, but no internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  1. View, change, export, or delete local projects in the App.
  2. Disable camera, photo-library, or tracking permission in system settings.
  3. Limit personalized advertising or reset the advertising identifier where supported.
  4. Clear App data or uninstall the App to remove information stored on the device.
  5. Contact us with a question, complaint, or request under applicable privacy law.

7. Children

Children should use the App only after a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to this Policy. Guardians should guide children when selecting photos, sharing files, and viewing ads. We do not knowingly require account information from children. Contact us if you believe information about a child has been handled improperly.

8. Updates

We may update this Policy when features, SDKs, advertising configuration, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published in the App, on our website, or on a related page. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes and obtain renewed consent when required by law.
